The owner and designer, Jim Warren, is a professional classical
organist who believes in the importance of providing an environment
where musicians are able to perfect their art either for
themselves, their guests or for recording.
The room acoustics are ideal also for small chamber ensembles.
The natural reverberation is slightly over 1 second. Musicians
often bring their own recording equipment or rent from a local
company. We will be happy to refer you to an engineer for your
session.
Studio Maluhia offers one of Mauis finest
concert pianos a 7 foot 1994 Steinway Model B. Musicians come to Studio Maluhia to record
on the instrument.
Studio Maluhia also has the largest four manual
digital organ in the State of Hawaii the Allen model DB-70
organ.
The organ's four manual size, that of a cathedral organ, with
virtual acoustics, adjustable voicing and temperament, offers
organists a full range of musical flexibility to perfect their
art. It also includes a digital recording and player device that
stores your work on a standard 1.44 MB floppy disk. Now you can
step back from the console and really hear what you sound like.
What an amazing opportunity for quality rehearsal and recording.
